The city sits high on a rocky plateau, cut right through the middle by the El Tajo Gorge. The most known (and most beautiful) part of this hike is the ''Puente Colgante del Caminito del Rey''. This wobbly suspesnion bridge connects two huge rock formations with one another. From here, you can admire the gorgeous view! Don't forget to stop to take some pictures on your way, and take a nice break with a picknick in the shadows of the trees. A unique village in southern Andalusia. Whereas most white villages in Andalusia are built on top of high hills or rocks, Setenil is actually built into the rocks. It is a beautiful village that is therefore definitely known for its unusual rock houses. The most important and famous streets in the village are the Cuevas del Sol, the caves of the sun, and the Cuevas de la Sombra, the caves of the shadow. On one side of the river, you have mostly sunshine, while in the other street you can get out of the heat for a while and sit in the shade of the rocks. Both streets have many cosy restaurants and cafés with a terrace under the rocks. It is also worth taking a stroll out of the centre and climbing the stairs to the various viewpoints! Also, don't forget to take a look in one of the shops. Taking a look inside will give you a good idea of the special rock dwellings that are part of the interior, and you can buy typical local products.
