free park and ride car park right next to the metro stop, a few vans when we stopped but seemed plenty of room in Jan 23, has full service area. Place initially looks dodgy as it’s suburbs full of blocks of flats but ended up feeling very safe as a guy called Luiz Rui lives with his partner in a van and takes it upon himself to guard all campers. Seems police ok with it. Easy metro journey with 1 change into centre, Sao Bento stop, single cost 2.30 but 24 hour card was 6.60. Aldi opposite so bought Luiz some beers when we left, guess others do something similar. Bit noisy but we felt safe and slept well.
