Want to escape the cold? Go to Spain!

Can you picture yourself waking up in the beautiful nature of Spain, visiting some beautiful villages and ending the day with a delicious portion of tapas? We totally understand that you want to escape the cold and travel to sunny Spain! We put some of the best locations in Spain together in this list, so you can go and enjoy the lovely winter weather of Spain!

The diversity of Catalonia

Unfortunately, you can't lay in the sun at the beach in winter in Spain either. However, a lot of places will have pleasant temperatures that allow you to walk around in a t-shirt! Sure, Barcelona is always worth a visit, but you cannot miss out on the town of Figueres! The city is mostly known for the painter Dalí, and it is also the first city you'll come across when you travel from France to Barcelona. In short: it is the perfect place to start your motorhome-trip! Park your motorhome at the edge of town at Parking Supermercade Esclat and explore the city from here!

Do you prefer nature? Check out Parc Natural de la Zona Volcánica de la Garrotxa! We advise you to bring some warm clothes with you, because it can get quite cold at times. The park is 15.000 hectares big, has loads of hiking trails and beautiful routes to drive with the motorhome. Want to stay close? Park your motorhome at Besalú.

Spirited Andalusia

Andalusia is the southernmost province of Spain. This part of Spain is known for its white villages. We definitely recommend doing a roadtrip along some of these villages! There are too many beautiful villages to name them all, but you'll definitely find a nice spot for yourself! Not far from the Costa de la Luz beaches is Vejer de la Frontera. This is usually seen as one of the most beautiful ''puebles blancos''. You'll find this spot on top of a mountain after travelling up a long curvy road. Close to this place you'll find motorhome stopover Zahora.

Done with all the white villages? Have a look at the medieval fort and Moorish palace Alhambra. This Nashriden-palace is located on a hill, close to Grenada. The palace complex is gigantic, with lots of beautiful Moorish decorations. Tip: book your tickets in advance. This place is really popular, and tickets are likely to sell out weeks in advance. After your visit, head to Granada. Here, you can make nice walks through the many neighbourhoods of the city, or eat the most delicious tapas at a local restaurant. Just outside of the city you'll find motorhome stopover Area camper Granada.
