Our adventure begins in Åndalsnes, nestled on the Romsdalfjord, the heart of Fjord Country and a hub for mountain hikers, climbers, and mountain bikers. From the simple motorhome stopover, you can stroll directly into the town.
From Åndalsnes we head south in search of road 63, to the famous Trollstigen. This winding road with its sharp curves and steep slopes takes you through a breathtaking mountain landscape. Take the time to stop at the viewpoints and be amazed by the beauty of this impressive route. The road is fine to drive with a motorhome. And don't worry, the road is fine to drive with a motorhome! If you want to stay overnight at the start of road 63, you can do so at a small campsite.
Follow road 63 southward and discover the spectacular Geirangerfjord. Take a boat trip through this fjord known for its steep green slopes, majestic waterfalls, and crystal-clear waters.
Continuing our route, we uncover Norway's most characteristic fjord, Sognefjord. With its breathtaking length of 205 kilometers, it's not only Norway's longest but also its deepest fjord.
Heading further south, make a pit stop in Flåm, where you can take an incredible ride through the stunning mountain landscape with the famous Flåmsbana train. The train stops at a spectacular waterfall. In Flåm, you can spend the night at camperpark Flåm beach parkering.

Tip: If you prefer to avoid the Lærdal Tunnel to Flåm, take the breathtaking 49-kilometer route, the Aurlandsfjellet National Tourist Road, FV263. Note: It's a busy and sometimes narrow road but well worth it.

Here are some tips for on your bucket list:
In the heart of the Black Forest, the Triberg Waterfalls await you. The Triberger Wasserfälle is Germany's highest waterfall. Flowing through dense forests, it creates a picturesque and natural setting. Paths and stairs have been constructed so you can get close to the waterfalls. The Triberg motorhome stopover, just 2.5 kilometers from the centre and the main entrance to the waterfalls, provides a convenient base.
Natuurlijk kun je met de camper een roadtrip over de oudste en beroemdste panoramaweg van Duitsland niet overslaan! De Schwarzwaldhochstraße (B500) is een prachtige route van ongeveer 60 kilometer door het noordelijke deel van het Zwarte Woud van Baden-Baden tot Freudenstadt. De route loopt langs bergkammen, watervallen, valleien en charmante dorpjes. Spectaculaire vergezichten worden afgewisseld met dichtbeboste hellingen. Het is dan ook een van de meest geliefde toeristische routes in Duitsland. Onderweg vind je tal van uitkijkpunten en picknickplaatsen! Vergeet niet een aantal stops in te plannen zoals bij de Mummelsee, een gletsjermeer waarlangs mooie wandelingen mogelijk zijn. Op de route kom je ook het bezoekerscentrum van Natuurpark Ruhestein tegen. Hier kom je alles te weten over de flora en fauna van het Zwarte Woud. Een skilift brengt je naar boven voor een adembenemend uitzicht! Wil je overnachten in Baden-Baden, dan kan dit bij Wohnmobilparkplatz. In Freudenstadt kun je overnachten met de camper bij Parkplatz Panorama-Bad.
Of course, you can't miss a road trip on Germany's oldest and most famous panoramic road. The Schwarzwaldhochstraße (B500) is a beautiful route of approximately 60 kilometers through the northern part of the Black Forest from Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt. The route passes along mountain ridges, waterfalls, valleys, and charming villages. Spectacular viewpoints are interspersed with densely wooded slopes. It's one of the most beloved tourist routes in Germany. Along the way, there are numerous viewpoints and picnic areas. Don't forget to plan some stops, such as at Mummelsee, a glacier lake offering beautiful walks. On the route, you'll also come across the visitor centre of the Ruhestein Nature Park. Here, you can learn everything about the flora and fauna of the Black Forest. A ski lift takes you to the top for a breathtaking view! If you want to stay overnight in Baden-Baden, you can do so at Wohnmobilparkplatz. In Freudenstadt, you can stay overnight with your motorhome at Parkplatz Panorama-Bad.
A journey through the Black Forest is not complete without a tasteful break. Stop at a Conditorei and enjoy a delicious piece of the famous Black Forest Cake. Although it remains mysterious whether this cream cake actually originated in the Black Forest, the name is inseparably linked to the charm of this beautiful region.
