1. Ballintoy - Northern Ireland

Let's start with Ballintoy! There's really no reason why you shouldn't visit this village in Northern Ireland. The village became world famous overnight because it was used as the setting for the popular series Game of Thrones. As a result, tourists from all over the world flock to Northern Ireland to visit this place. You reach this picturesque village via a steep, winding road. Near Ballintoy you will find the Carrick-a-Rede Bridge and Gaint's Causeway. These are two attractions for your bucket list! The Carrick-a-Rede Bridge is a suspension bridge that connects the mainland with the island of the same name, Carrick-a-Rede. The bridge is suspended 30 meters above the rocks and from here you have a magnificent view! Note: from early November to February you can not walk across this bridge. The bridge is then removed due to adverse weather conditions. The Giant's Causeway should not be missed during your motorhome stop in Ballintoy. This rock formation on the northeast coast of Northern Ireland is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is said that these rocks were created by a volcanic eruption some 60 million years ago, but there are many other legends about the Giant's Causeway...

2. Portmeirion – Wales

Portmeirion in Wales, a place that gives you a Disneyland feeling. This is due to the colorful and fairytale-like buildings. It is therefore not surprising that many films are recorded here. Portmeirion was built by an architect who wanted to bring Mediterranean architecture to Wales. So during your visit you can expect many pastel-colored buildings, palm trees and even more Italian details. Stroll through the quaint alleys and get lost in this lovely town. Along the way you are guaranteed to come across many photogenic spots.

3. York - England

In the north of England you will find the city of York. You should definitely not miss this city during your motorhome-trip in the United Kingdom! When you walk through the narrow streets of this city, you will feel as if you have stepped back in time. Nowhere else will you find so many cultural and historical traces of the past as in York. From Roman times to the Middle Ages. On almost every corner of the city you will find something from one of these times. It is also one of the best preserved cities in the world! An attraction you can not miss during your visit is the York Minster. This cathedral stands head and shoulders above the city. You'll be amazed at how big this cathedral is and once you see the inside you'll understand why this is one of the most beautiful gothic churches in the world. Everywhere you look is beautiful! The Vikings also left their sports in York. At one time York was even the capital of the Viking province. At The Jorvik Viking Centre you can learn all about this period. For even more historical facts you should visit the National Railway Museum. Here you will find 300 years of railroad history and you can admire old locomotives.

4. Stirling – Scotland

Drive the motorhome through the rolling hills and beautiful lakes of Scotland and visit the town of Stirling. A city where it is always fun! The mix of locals, many students and tourists means there is always something going on. Stirling is often compared to Edinburg, the capital of Scotland. This is because of the nice steep streets that lead you to the old city center. Many of the buildings you see in the old town were built in medieval times. One sight that you definitely can't miss is Stirling Castle. This castle towers high above the city and you can see it from miles away. The castle has a special location on a volcanic rock. In the castle you will learn more about the glorious history of Scotland and the town of Stirling. It feels like going back in time, during your visit the staff will make history come alive through medieval costumes and exciting stories. Not only the castle is worth visiting but also Old Town Jail, the Wallace Monument and one of the greatest battles in Scottish history, Bannockburn Battle Visitor Centre are definitely worth a visit during your motorhome stop in Scotland.

5. Dingle - Ireland

Last, but not least: Dingle! This peninsula is located on the southwest coast of Ireland and is part of County Kerry. Due to its remote location, the Irish traditions are still well preserved here. During your motorhome stop on this peninsula you will only see street signs in Irish and the locals still speak the authentic Irish language. Those visiting the Dingle peninsula should not forget the town of Dingle. This colorful harbor town is perfect for spotting dolphins and whales. Of course you will also find many pubs here, where you can enjoy a Guinness beer on tap! Yet these are not the highlights of Dingle. For you as a motorhome owner they have set out a beautiful route, the 'Slea Head Drive'. This route starts and ends in the town of Dingle and is about 50 kilometers long. On the way you will pass impressive ruins, one of the most beautiful beaches of the peninsula and remnants from the Bronze Age. This way you can be sure that you don't miss a thing of the peninsula!
