On the road with your motorhome during autumn!

Do you like to go out with your motorhome during autumn? Enjoy all the beauty that autumn has to offer? Then get your hiking shoes ready, because in this article you will find our tips on where you can enjoy hiking during autumn!

In the small Luxembourg you can enjoy nature to the fullest. Close to the German border you find for example the village Berdorf. In this village you can stay with your motorhome at Camperhafen Martbusch and put on your hiking shoes right away because there are three hiking trails near this motorhome stop. Walk through the beautiful hilly landscape and enjoy the beautiful autumn colors. Of course, you can also map out a beautiful route yourself and, for example, hike to Bollendorf where you can recover from your hike with a hot cup of coffee or tea. 

What makes Luxembourg perhaps even more fun is that you can use public transport for free! Be sure to take advantage of this to see even more of Luxembourg. From Camperhafen Martbusch you can reach Luxembourg City within an hour and a half by public transport. Here you can enjoy the city environment and a nice walk through the city!

The French town of Autun has much to offer lovers of Roman times. The combination with beautiful natural surroundings, makes this town suitable for both history lovers and hiking enthusiasts. If you are an enthusiastic hiker, then the hiking trail “Randonnée entre ville et campagne” is for you! This route is 18 kilometers long and introduces you to both the surroundings and the center of Autun. If you prefer not to walk so long, you can also explore the sights of Autun. Be sure to check out Porte d'Arroux, a sight that takes you back to Roman times. 

In Autun you can place your motorhome at the small lake Le Vallon. Here you will wake up gently with a view of the water!

Close to the border off Switzerland and Italy you find the town Lugano. This Italian speaking canton in south-Switzerland is not only pretty in the summer but also in autumn! In the Parco Naturale del Monte in Caslano you can take the most beautiful autumn hikes. During your hike, you will come across several explanation boards that will help you learn more about the area. Once at the top you will be awarded with beautiful panoramic view of the mountains and the Lugano lake! After your hike you can enjoy a well-earned cup of coffee with a treat in Lugano.

In Denmark you can enjoy the nature in every season! If you are planning to drive to Denmark during the autumn, drive to the area of Vejle. Here you will find one of Denmark’s most beautiful forests! So that promises great things for great autumn hikes! During your hike in this forest you will be awarded with a fantastic view over the Vejlefjord. 

In the surrounding area of Vejle you will find for example Kongernes Jellings parkeringsplads or a motorhome stopover in Jelling. These are opened all year round, so perfect for a stay during autumn. 

Are you a motorhome enthusiast who prefers to learn about the culture and wander through a city? Then Denmark is the right place for you! In Copenhagen, for example, you not only enjoy the famous colored houses but, if the weather is really autumnal, you can also visit the many museums. The Copenhagen Card can come in handy then. With this card you can visit more than 80 tourist attractions for free and you can also use public transport for free. Ideal right? 

Outside the center of Copenhagen you can place your motorhome at Kastrup Lystbådehavn. From this motorhome stopover you can also get a breath of fresh air at the beach.
