Haren, Groningen

The Groningen village of Haren is close to the city of Groningen, making it the ideal base for visiting the Netherlands' northernmost province. Haren is home to the Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest and largest botanical gardens in the Netherlands. Stroll along the paths and be surprised by the most exotic and unusual plants. On Fridays, a weekly market is organised on the Raadhuisplein, after which you can stroll along the boutiques in the centre of the village and settle down on one of the cosy terraces!

Langweer, Friesland

Are you a lover of water sports? Then you should definitely visit Langweer! This small Frisian village has in recent years become a true water sports Walhalla and with its location on the Langweerderwielen, part of the Frisian Lakes, we understand why. Sailing, fishing or taking to the water in a sloop; it's all possible! We recommend the Langweer-Joure sloop route, where you discover the beautiful surroundings, but if you prefer to stay at the water's edge, the Langweerder Wielen cycle route is also great fun. In the village you can enjoy a drink on one of the lovely terraces after a day in nature.

You can spend the night for free at motorhome stopover Langweer.

As an ‘Open Green City’, Emmen is also a great destination for activities in nature, such as cycling and walking along the Emmerdennen. In short: enjoy!
